My story
Before establishing Peddie Accountancy in 2000, I spent fifteen years working in accounting firms in Christchurch and Auckland, gaining experience across audit, business services, and taxation.
In 2000, my husband and I relocated from Auckland to Christchurch while I was pregnant with our second child. At that time I made the decision to establish my own accounting practice from our home in Linwood.
Those early years were a unique combination of family life and professional work. When clients visited, they needed to be comfortable with a young family around them, and children who were mostly unaware that Mum was trying to run a professional accounting practice.
Over time, I began attracting clients who shared similar experiences. Many were small business owners, professionals, and property investors, balancing the demands of work, family, and the ambition to build something meaningful.
The office gradually became an important part of the Peddie home, developing over the years as a place the children would go to share a coffee and meaningful, supportive conversation with Mum.
Today our children have grown and left home, and the office is considerably quieter and far more organised.
Now located in St Albans, Christchurch, Peddie Accountancy continues to support long-standing clients while welcoming new business owners and investors seeking a personal and reliable accounting relationship.
